of who we are and suggest the possibilities of what we could have become. multiple characters within our identity appear and disappear from our lives. we sacrifice one for another to survive.
self-doubting our present selves, we swing within a competing duality over a single territory of expression that equally wants to surface to the world. and as we swing between our past and present, our desires and fears, we settle in the middle and become what is in between.
performing a sensitive swing is an installation that projects two characterizations of the same self. the work invites viewers to recognize the polarity within the expression of our identities, and the external forces that shape them.
